demo room

a room without limits

Service

film & photo production space

A production-ready room on Toronto's waterfront, built for crews, not converted for them.

Demo Room is a 16,000 sq ft production-first venue at 307 Lake Shore Blvd East, built with dual loading docks, 20+ ft ceilings, in-house rigging, and integrated power designed around film and photo production, not standard event use. Crews get a real production floor instead of a room that needs to be worked around.

Common questions

production, answered

Is Demo Room an actual production studio, or an event venue used for shoots?

Demo Room was designed as a production environment first. Technical infrastructure, power, rigging, and spatial flow were built in from the outset, rather than added on top of a room designed for parties or receptions. That's the difference between a venue that happens to allow filming and a space built to support it.

What ceiling height and rigging does Demo Room offer for film and photo shoots?

The facility offers 20+ ft ceilings with rigging capability, giving lighting and grip departments real headroom for trussing, backdrops, and overhead setups without working around a low, fixed ceiling.

Can a crew load equipment and vehicles in directly?

Yes. Demo Room includes dual loading docks designed to support efficient vendor arrivals, production load-in, and dock-to-floor transitions, which matters for camera trucks, grip and electric packages, and larger set builds.

Does Demo Room work for commercial photography, not just film?

Yes. The space supports film and photo production side by side, along with brand activations and content shoots. The same production infrastructure, power, rigging, and open floor, applies whether the crew is shooting stills, motion, or both in one day.

Can the space support a multi-day shoot?

Yes. Demo Room can support multi-day builds, rehearsals, installs, strike periods, and extended production schedules, subject to booking availability and project scope.

Is technical support available during the shoot, or is it a bare room rental?

Both options exist. Clients can bring their own production teams and use the space as a shell, or draw on in-house technical and AV support, including VOID sound, LED, and projection mapping, when the project calls for it.
